Mr. Bill Mitchel received a phone message this morning that his father-in-law had passed away last night at his home near Pilgrim. Mr. Chero had been confined to his bed for nine days. This last Saturday morning a week ago Mr. Chew fell and hurt himself and other malady's were the cause of his death. If Mr. Chew has been confined to his bed would have been 77 years old. He leaves his wife and two daughters to mourn his death, and some relatives at La Grange and a lot of stepsons, and daughters. His two daughters Mrs. Bill Mitchel and Miss Ella and stepchildren have all been at his bedside ever since he fell and hurt himself. We surely do sympathize with them in their trouble.
The scribe was up there to see him last Thursday as he was an old time friend.
