Sherman, Texas:

Mona Lynn Youtsey, 56, was sadly taken from us June 14, 2010 in Sherman, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home. Funeral services are Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 10:00am at Dannel Funeral Home with Rev. Emeritus Timothy Pool officiating. Interment will be Saturday June 19, at Lucas, Kansas where she will join her mother and step-father, Orvetta and Gene Biddle. A celebration of her life will take place at Mona's home after the Thursday service.

Mona was born in Olathe, Kansas on July 19, 1953 to Ray Youtsey and Orvetta Biddle. She graduated from Great Bend High School, Great Bend, Kansas. She married Ed Durden in 2002 with whom she enjoyed several years of marriage before he preceeded her in death December 2009.

Mona loved to sing and spent many happy hours entertaining with song and karaoke. Mona was a frequent visitor to New Covenant Christian Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where her Lord sent her inspiration and comfort in the words of her minister, Rev. Timothy Pool. She spent many years on the tennis courts and had recently joined in the family tradition of golfing. Mona enjoyed the companionship of her fellow Redhatters. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her neices and nephews. She traveled countless miles to participate in baseball games, theatre productions, field hockey games, cross country meets, graduation ceremonies, birthday celebrations, Christmas, bingo games, and just spending time with family.

Mona was preceeded in death by her parents and her step father Gene Biddle and her husband Ed Durden.

Mona is survived by:
Brothers: Ron and Cindy Youtsey of Oklahoma City
Bruce and Denise Youtsey of Abilene, Kansas

Neices and Nephews:
Jennifer & Shawn Zeplin of Denver, CO.
Michael Youtsey and fiancee' Jenifer Leitch of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Taylor Youtsey and Wyatt Youtsey of Abilene, KS.

Uncle Dave and Aunt Neoma Youtsey of Salina, KS

Brother in law: Gary Kirtley of Dallas, Tx.

Her many adopted Oklahoma City families including the McCrackens, the Brambles, the Pools, and the DeVores along with many beloved friends in the Sherman/Denison Texas area.

Mona also leaves behind her faithful pocket poodle "Frenchie" who was her constant loyal companion.

Mona was loved and cherished by everyone she met everywhere she went and she will be greatly missed. Her memory will be cherished. We will always share wonderful Aunt Mo stories.
