YORK, WALTER ALONZO, SR. age 67 of Andersonville, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2003 at his residence.

He was a former resident of Northwood, Ohio where he lived for 40 years.

He was born January 23, 1936 in Anderson County, Tenn. to the late Charles and Belva Pennington York.

Walter was a veteran of the US Marine Corps.

He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Walter is preceded in death by his parents wife, Pearl York infant son, Billy York brothers, Claude and Charles York sister, Mildred Wallace.

Survivors special companion, Sheila Fredrick, Andersonville, Tenn. sons, Walter, Jr. & Pat York, Andersonville, Tenn., Randy & Pam York, Millbury, Ohio, Kurt & Veronica York, Perrysburg, Ohio, Kelly & Deana York, Northwood, Ohio daughters, Sandra & Pete Tittle, Andersonville, Tenn., Lisa & Bob St. Claire, Andersonville, Tenn. 17 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren brother, Albert & Kay, Clinton, Tenn. several nieces and nephews.

Visitation, 1-9 p.m. Friday May 9, 2003 at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City.

Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2003 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Sharp officiating.

Interment to follow the funeral service Saturday, May 10, 2003 at the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Clinton, with full military honors conducted by the US Marine Reserve Unit D Company 4th Combat Engineer Battalion.
