J.B. Ford drove a stage coach with a four horse team over the Boston Mountains
from Van Buren, AR to Fayetteville, AR in the 1890's. He came to Monroe and
assisted in the building of the Rock Island Railroad through to Booneville, Arkansas.
He lived in Monroe for 62 years.

James B. and Martha Flemming Ford had the following children, which were all
born in Arkansas:

Infant Daughter Ford 1887 (buried at Alma Cemetery, Crawford County, AR)
