Miss Anderson a Bride

Dr Gorham Bacon of 47 West 54th Street,who is the executive surgeon and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and consulting surgeon to the Minturn and Roosevelt Hospitals, and Miss Margaret Butterfield, a daughter of John Locke Butterfield of Detroit, were married yesterday at the Church of the Ascension by the Rev Dr Percy Stickney Grant. Only the immediate families were present and there was no reception.

Dr Bacon whose first wife was Elizabeth Simpkins, died in January 1916.He has three married daughters whoa ttended the wedding,Mrs Richard M H Harper,Mrs Austin Cheney,and Mrs Truman L Saunders.He was graduated from Bellevue in 1878 and is a member of various medical societies, his bride who is quite young, has been his secretary.

I , Gorham Bacon, of Barnstable, Barnstable County, Massachusetts,a municipal corporation located in the county of Barnstable and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, with Quitclaim covenants,-
A perpetual easement and right or privilege of erecting or maintaining a suitable stone or boulder 3 feet by 3 feet above ground with a tablet upon the same to designate the site of the house built in the year 1660 by Capt John Gorham, who died from wounds received in the *Great Swamp Fight* in King Philips War, to be located on my land on the North side of the State Highway known as route#6 in the village of Cummaquid in said town of Barnstable at a point approximately 15 feet North of said State Highway and 72.8 feet Westerly from the dividing line between my land and land owned by or occupied by Ruth B Cheney , all as shown on plan compiled by Barnstable County Planning Board January 1939 entitled " Plan showing the location of a boulder to be located on land of Gorham Bacon, in the village of Cummaquid,at the site of the house built by Capt John Gorham in 1660" to be recorded herewith.

I, Margaret Bacon, wife of Gorham Bacon, release to the grantee the rights of dower and homestead and other interests of said easement.
