Walter E. Hart, aged 41, of 608 North Charlotte street, operator of a filling station at Logan street and Jefferson boulevard, died at 7:30 o'clock Friday night in St. Joseph hospital. He had been in failing health for six months. Mr. Hart was born May 2, 1894, in Lagrange county, Indiana, and came here in 1920 from there. He was married April 4, 1923, in St. Joseph, Mich., to Geraldine Palmer, who survives.
Surviving also are eight sisters, Mrs. William C. Twele, Mrs. Norman V. Crall and Mrs. Wayne W. Harding, of South Bend; Mrs. Hama Gooch, Mrs. Dora Gooding and Mrs. Jessie Miller, of Mishawaka; Mrs. Milton Eldridge, of Middlebury, Ind., and Mrs. James Beech, of Lagrange. The body may be viewed in the residence tonight. Mr. Hart was a world war veteran and a member of the Full Gospel assembly.
