Genevieve Adams, age 89, of Ozark, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010.
She was born September 13, 1920 in Ozark, the daughter of Otis and Annas (Cook) McCauley. On June 22, 1940 she was united in marriage to Leonard Adams. Mrs. Adams retired from Fasco Industries. She was a member of the Utopia Club, and TOPS, and enjoyed working the polls on election day for many years. She also enjoyed painting and watching golf on TV. She was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons and their wives, Dale and Mary Ann Adams, Thayer, Mike and Carla Adams, Nixa, and Bruce and Yvonne Adams, Nixa; four grandchildren, Karen, Mollie, Jeff, and Steven; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a niece, Jennifer Faulk; a nephew, Steven McCauley; and a sister-in-law, Mary Adams.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Don McCauley and wife, Jeanette, and her parents.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 17, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Robert Long officiating. Burial will follow in McCauley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Genevieve's name to the Utopia Club.
