She was a member of Mabelvale United Methodist Church.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Eugene "Red" Higginbotham.
She was the loving mother of one daughter, Barbara Louise Bivens and husband, Walter; and two sons, Richard "Tony" Higginbotham and his wife, Patricia, and Gary Eugene Higginbotham and wife, Carol; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; she is also survived by two brothers, John Melvin Garner and Robert Eugene "Bobby" Garner; and numerous friends.
