Born in Cooleany to parents Patrick and Bridget Lang.
He arrived in the US about 1898, give or take a few years.
Married Delia April 15, 1906, just days before the Quake.
He was a bricklayer, and in 1912 fell from a building and fractured his skull. He was brought to Central Emergency Hospital where he died, which was located at Golden Gate and Gough. The same intersection where there is a park named after his son, James P. Lang.
