Mr. William Wamos Alderson, 69, of Athens died Aug. 20 at Homer Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services were held Aug. 22 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Homer with the Rev. Steve Rowe officiating.
Burial was held at Salem Cemetery in Athens.
Mr. Alderson was a retired pumper from Getty Oil Company and a Baptist.
Survivors include his widow, Veva Alderson of Athens; four daughters,
Theola Sims and Barbara Sims of Athens, Julia Boatner of Shreveport and Leta Lee of Haynesville; two sisters, Zora Bell Mundine of Point Comfort, Texas and Jo Virginia Marshall of LaMarque, Texas; three brothers, Vick Alderson and Curtis Alderson of Lewisville, Ark. and Hubert Alderson of Uvalde, Texas; 12 grandchildren; one great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
