Kate Smith of Rockholds, Kentucky departed this life on Thursday March 19, 2009 at her home in Rockholds, Kentucky she was 91 years old . She was born on January 12, 1918 in Whitley County, Kentucky to the late William Radford Miller and Mary Alice (Johnson) Miller . She was also preceeded in death by her husband Earl Dalton Smith Sr. and a son Jerry Lee Smith . Kate was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, she was a faithful U.K. fan.

Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. Sunday , March 22, 2009 at the Croley Funeral Home. with Rev. Sam Smith and Rev. Larry Sowder officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Cemetery on Bear Branch Road, in Meadow Creek Community , Rockholds, Kentucky.
