Roy Clarence Allen, Sr., 88, husband of Mattie Sue Tooley Allen, of 2850 N. Highway 101, died Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
A native of Spartanburg County, he was a son of the late Robert Clarence and Mary Jane Smith Allen, owner and operator of a barber shop, a U.S. Marine veteran and member of Milford Baptist Church.
Surviving also are two sons and daughters-in-law, R.C. Allen, Jr. and Twinkle Allen and Richard Clinton and Patricia Allen; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Lois Towe.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2010 at Milford Baptist Church cemetery, conducted by Rev. Hershel Craine. The family is at the home.
