Services held Tuesday for J. R. Booth

Funeral services for John Russell Booth, 71, were held Tuesday afternoon at Southern Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Odd Fellow's Cemetery.

Mr. Booth died Monday in Holmes County Community Hospital after an illness of about a month.

The Reverend Crawford Ray officiated at the services with Southern Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Booth, a retired farmer, was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Hammitt Booth of Lexington; a daughter, Mrs.
Susie B. Minyard of Lexington; two sons, J. R. Booth, Jr., of Tunica and H. E. Booth of Clarksdale; and his mother , Mrs. Sue Booth of Lexington.

Pallbearers were Howard Terry, J. M. McRae, K. F. Downer, Earl Daniel, Andrew Smith, E. R. Trotman, W. E. Thurmond and Johnny F. Williams, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers were J. D. Williams, Hallie Terry, Lee Terry, Lute Ellison, H. D. Brewer, Tom Fowlkes, Fred Petty, W. E. Diggs, Sr., and James Henley.
