Fay Lewis Berman

Funeral services for Mrs. Fay Lewis Berman of Lexington were held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 13 at Temple Beth El in Lexington. Rabbi Alan Schwartzman officiated with interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Mrs. Berman, a native of Lexington, died Monday, July 11 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

The widow of the late Joseph E. Berman, she had been a homemaker, a member of Temple Beth El, and member of the Julia Lewis Sisterhood.

Survivors include one son, Robert L. Berman of Jackson; two daughters, Dr. Brenda Bell of Birmingham, Alabama and Joan Burwell of Jackson; two brothers, Morris Lewis, Jr. of Indianola and Celian Lewis of Destin, Florida, 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers were: Henry Parris, Morris Lewis, Ill, Richard Lewis, Bill Lewis, Dr. Walter Berman, Beryl Weiner, Dr. Ralph Daniel, and Fred Cohen.

Honorary pallbearers were: Steve Castellaw, Herman Flowers, Bud Moore, Frank Jones, Dr. John Downer, Wilburn Hooker and Charles Carson.
