Emanuel Peter Dittman,87, of Lamartine, died in his home Saturday morning. Mr. Dittman was born October 24, 1869, the son of William and Sarah Kline Dittman., at Crossroads, Emlenton R.D. He married Cora Sheffer August 9, 1890, and was preceded in death by his wife. He was also preceded in death by three children who died before reaching the age of one year. He was a member of the Evangelical Reformed Church in Lamartine. Mr. Dittman served as a mail carrier for 17 years but has been in retirement for the past 23 years. Surviving are two sons, Robert Eugene Dittman, Warren, Ohio and Lawrence E. Dittman of Lamartine; three daughters, Mrs. Bertha Klingman, Ford City, Mrs. Blanch Eisenhuth, Warren, Ohio, and Mrs. Mildred Bechiel, New Bethlehem; one brother, George S. Dittman, Knox R.D. 1 and one sister, Mrs. Ida Clark, Knox R.D. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. The body was removed to the Crisswell Funeral Home, Emlenton where friends may call.
