Fessonia was the daughter of John D. Polk and and Elizabeth Beles. Her father was a Captain in the the civil war. He was a Captain of Company D., Gould's Battalion, Texas calvary.

Fessonia married David A. Blake on Oct 27,1886 and they resided at Lometa, TX. Their children were, Elizabeth, b.at Eagle Pass, Dec 18,1887; Lucile, b.at Dallas, July 27,1889; David A. Jr. b. at Brenham, Feb 14, 1892; Roscoe, b. at Temple, Oct 9, 1900: Alef. b. at Brownwood, July 19,1902.
Elizabeth the eldest daughter, married Edward W. Passow, at San Angelo, Jan 20, 1907. They had one child, Edward Blake b. Nov. 2, 1907.
Lucile Blake, married Vancourt Kelly, at San Angelo, June 23, 1909. They have one child, Vancourt Jr., b. May 30,1910.
