Born Dorothy Bruckman in Tottenville, she lived in Travis and Port Richmond before she moved to Meiers Corners fourteen years ago.
She attended Tottenville High School.
Mrs. Morris worked for more than a decade as a private housekeeper before she retired in 1980.
According to her family, she enjoyed doing word-search and crossword puzzles and gardening.
"Flowers were her main interest. She always had a colorful garden," said her daughter, Barbara Franchi.
Mrs. Morris' son, Alexander, died in 2009.
In addition to Mrs. Franchi, Mrs. Morris is survived by two sons, William and Thomas; three daughters, Katherine Yourgel, Wilma Balzarano, and Patricia Rodriguez; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, Tottenville. Burial will be in Oceanview Cemetery, Oakwood.
