Victor Craig Wilson, 74, Lancaster, MO died April 25, 1989, at the Davis County Hospital, Bloomfield, IA.

He was born March 8, 1915, in Batavia to Lindsey and Amanda Dovenspike Wilson. He was a retired carpenter and had worked for Bob Boatman Construction Company for 23 years. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry during WWII and was a member of American Legion Post No 407 in Unionville and the United Methodist Church in Glenwood, MO. He was an organizer for the Blue Grass Festival in Drakesville.

He married Clair Belle Nicoli on Dec 29, 1940 in Lancaster, MO

He is survived by his wife; a daughter Nancy Sue Lucas of Lancaster, MO; two sons, Robert Craig of Floris and Victor Michael of Albia; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, James of Seattle Wash; and two sisters, Stella LaBerge of Pompano Beach, FL and Evelyn Smith of Mount Pleasant.

The funeral was April 28, 1989 at the Wagler Funeral Home with Bill Kinnamon officiating. Burial with military rites by Unionville American Legion Post No 407 was in the Drakesville Cemetery

Memorials have been established to the Drakesville Cemetery Avenue of Flags.
