HOBBISIEFKEN, Anita
Hobbisiefken, Anita [Zalazar], 97, born in Los Angeles, CA, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2007 at the Lompoc Skilled & Rehab Center in Lompoc, CA. Anita grew up in Los Angeles, and worked as a milliner for the Ice Capades, and was especially proud to have designed hats worn by Barbra Streisand and costumes by Raquel Welsh and Julie Andrews. She met and married her husband, Lawrence Gerd Hobbisiefken, in Los Angeles, where they built a home in Montebello and raised their two children.
Anita was preceded in death by both her husband, and her daughter, Norma Ann Wasson (Paul) in 1999. Anita is survived by her son, Lawrence John Hobbisiefken of Santa Barbara; 6 grandchildren, John Casey (Kim), Annette Wasson, Margaret Wasson, Susan Subject, Judy Taggart (Mike), Michelle Wasson; and 5 great-granddaughters.
A memorial service will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, CA, Hillside Chapel 120 on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at 1:00pm.
