He was the son of the late Paris and Julia E. Bailey. He leaves to mourn their loss, two brothers, J. M. Bailey of Fulton, Missouri and Clarence Bailey of Luray, also two sisters, Alice and Anna of Luray.
Funeral services were held from the family home on January 7, at 2:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. C. K. Green of Downing, Missouri. The remains were laid to rest in the west cemetery.
