Son of Gerhard and Jessie (Smith) Aden. Jim graduated from Adams High School in 1942 and farmed most all of his life. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from April 27, 1951 to April 21, 1953. Jim married Eina Kelle on February 14, 1955 in the American Lutheran Church in Adams. He was a member of Christ Community Church in Beatrice where he was very active, a member of Burrows-DeBoer Chapter #10042, V.F.W. in Adams, Gideons International, and a past member of the Adams School Board and Adams Elevator Board. Jim enjoyed walking fence every morning, farming, traveling, family vacations, taking pictures, coffee at the Adams Café, and visiting at the Jet Stop in Sterling.

Jim is survived by his wife, Eina; 2 daughters, Cindy Schultz, Renee and Jerome Buss all of Adams; a son, Roger and Jane Aden of Beatrice; 12 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; Godchildren, Barbara Marsh of Port Charlotte, Florida, Don and Azalea Goracke of Lincoln; a brother, Bill Aden of Lincoln; 3 sisters, Geraldine Boslau of Homedale, Idaho, Aladine Boslau of North Platte, and Donna Jean and Don Happel of Fremont. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerhard and Jessie (Smith) Aden; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mervin and LaVern Aden, Clarence and Irene Aden; a sister-in-law, Goldie Aden; a brother-in-law, Henry Boslau; and a son-in-law, Homar Schultz.
