Mary Therese Smith Kennedy went to be with our Lord on Thursday, June 3, 2010, in Tallahassee, Fla. Graveside service: 9:45 a.m. Monday, June 14, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband of 58 years, U.S. Air Force Col. Clarence Charles "Bud" Kennedy. Funeral Mass was Tuesday in Tallahassee. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society or the American Cancer Society . She was born Dec. 21, 1919, in Queens, N.Y. She resided in Grand Prairie from 1968 to 2002. She was active in the Women's Club, the Garden Club and Nottingham Neighbors, volunteered at the Grand Prairie Visitors' Center and played bridge with her many close friends in several clubs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Kennedy. In 2002, after his death, she moved to Tallahassee to live with her daughter and son-in-law. Survivors: Daughters, MaryLynn Wheeler (Jon) and Jill Kennedy; and son, Rick Kennedy (Susci). She was blessed with five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
