Funeral services for Mrs. Lula Williams Algood were held at the Cookeville Methodist Church Wednesday afternoon, Mrs. Algood died Monday night at the Cookeville Hospital following an illness of four years.
A native of Louisville, KY, Mrs. Algood had made her home in Cookeville since her marriage a number of years ago to Alfred Algood, who was a prominent Cookeville attorney. Mr. Algood died several years ago.
Prior to her illness Mrs. Algood was very active in the work of the Methodist Church.
Mrs. Algood is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Rosalind Algood Vaden, of Cookeville; two grandchildren, Algood Vaden, United States Army; Miss Polly Vaden, of Cookeville; three brothers, Charles Williams of London, England; Hugh and R. R. Williams of Louisville, KY, and two sisters, Miss Kate Williams and Mrs. T. Morton, Louisville.
