Robert McFarlane, a respected resident of Tittabawassee died at his home yesterday at 1:30 a.m. of cirrhosis of the liver. He had been in poor health about three years, and the last three weeks was confined to the house.

Robert McFarlane was born in Cookstown, Canada, August 10, 1847. He spent his boyhood there, and March 20, 1874 he was married to Julia Ann Switzer of Cookstown.

On November 14, 1887, they came to Michigan. They have resided in and about Tittabawassee since. They purchased a farm and have resided there for some time. He is survived by his widow; one son, Lewis McFarlane, one daughter, Mrs. Ida Van Buren of Ingersoll township, Midland county; one brother David McFarlane of Barrie, Ontario; two sisters, Mrs. W. Pullbrook, Clovershell, Canada and Mrs. W. Hawkins of Caldwell, Canada, and seven grandchildren.

The funeral will take place from the home Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Rev. A.E. Potts will officiate. Interment will be in Laporte cemetery.
