Services for Robert W. Mills, Sr., 78, 402 N Walnut St., who died June 15, 1998 will be at 2 p. m. Thursday at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, Kan.
The Rev. Phil Erwin will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Joplin.
Pallbearers will be Eric Babbit, Robert Garrison, Andy Kinslow, Mike Mills, Bill Mills and Billy Mills.
Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Northeast Oklahoma Veterans Funeral Detail.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Mills married Alberta "Sally" Shallenburger on April 20, 1949, at Bentonville, Ark. She survives. An obituary Tuesday listed an inaccurate [1929] date of marriage.

Mr. Mills was born Nov. 6, 1919 , at Waco. He lived most of his life in Joplin. He worked at Vicker's Inc., Joplin, for 32 years, retiring in 1982.
He was a member of Local No. 200 and Robert S. Thurman American Legion Post No. 13.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 24th Infantry in the Philippines.
He married Alberta "Sally" Shallenburger on April 20, 1929 [1949], at Bentonville, Ark. She survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Robert Mills, Jr., and Everett Shallenburger, both of Joplin; a daughter, Connie Butler, Joplin; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, Kan. The Rev. Phil Erwin will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Joplin.
