Miles Cook died in Plain Twp., Franklin Co., OH. age 93; farmer; white; widowed;(V.1, p161). It is believed that he is on the same stone as his wife, as the stone reads," Father and Mother" on the west side, his wife is on the north side, the other sides are bare. His will Vol. H., p. 269 Franklin Co., Ohio, as Emyal Cook, Plain Twp., Date Proved- Aug. 30, 1880.- Bequests, Devises, etc.: Nathaniel Cook, Arena Wise; Jacob H. Cook; Jane Welch [sic-Welsh]; Sarah Dague; Mabel Compton; Anna Learn; heirs of William Cook, Mary Myers; Abram Cook. Probate Journal 18, p. 317- 17 Sept. 1880: Ordered that notice in writing be given to Arena Wise at Hope, Franklin Co; Sarah Dague at Gahanna, Mabel Compton and Anna Learn at Leipsic, Putnam Co., Oh. His death record, "Ohio Deaths & Burials, 1854-1997"(familysearch.org), shows him as Miles Cook, died Jul. 1880, Plain Tp., Franklin Co., Ohio. age 93. born 1787, New York; farmer; white; widowed: LDS Batch No. B0701-7; V. 1, p.161. Emyal Cook married, recorded as "Ennial" Cook- Elizabeth Sisco, both of Pequannock, 27 Mar. 1812. Lib.
