John H. Shuffield
John Hugh Shuffield, 71, died Saturday in Bismarck.
Mr. Shuffield was a life resident of Bismarck, born September 6, 1899. He was a retired farmer and a Baptist.
Survivors include three sons, Thurman Shuffield of Wilmington, California, Vernon Shuffield of Lonsdale, and Delmas Shuffield of Yuba City, California; three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Jewell of Irving, Texas, Mrs. Artie Adams of Omaha, Nebraska, and Mrs. Olene Nations of Hurst, Texas; his father, John Wash Shuffield of Bismarck; two brothers, Herman Shuffield of Bismarck and Arvelee Shuffield of Hot Springs; five sisters, Mrs. Ruby Emory of California, Mrs. Zelma Irwin of California, Mrs. Carrie Emory of Bismarck, Mrs. Alma Thomas of Donaldson, and Mrs. Clora Childers of Bismarck; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Valley Baptist Church, near Bismarck, with the Rev. Earl Page, pastor, officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Dale Anthony, L. B. Dingler, J. R. Hardage, Don Daniels, Arvin Shuffield, Denver Lee Shuffield, and Rush Sanders.
