VERNON RUSSELL

Tuscola – Vernon W. Russell, 51, of Tuscola and formerly of Abilene died at 2 p.m. Monday in the West Texas Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Services are pending at Fry Funeral Home.

Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Williams of Independence, Mo.; five sons, Chester of the U.S. Army, Michael and Donald, both of Kansas City, Kan., Phillip of Amarillo and John of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Violet Westbrook of California and Mrs. Lenta Dugens of Missouri; five brothers, H. E. Jr. of Abilene, Lou, Clarance and Harold, all of St. Joseph, Mo., and Donald of Wathena, Kan.; and three grandsons.
