Funeral services for Mrs. Lela [sic Leah] DeLoach O'Pry, 56, who died at her home in
Seattle, Wash., Monday, Jan. 10, 1955, from a cerebral hemorrhage, were held at Hixson Funeral Home Sunday, Jan. 16, at 3 p.m. The Rev. Luther Booth, pastor of the First Methodist Church, Winnfield, officiated. Burial was in the family plot in the Winnfield Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Marvin and Evon Ryder, Floyd Smith and Baughn Jones, cousins of the deceased, of Alexandria; Paul Ward of Peoria, Ill., and Arthur Burns, Winnfield.

The deceased was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. N. DeLoach. She came here with her parents when an infant and resided here until 1922, when she went to Memphis where she spent many years before going to the west coast to make her home. She was a nurse in the Maynard Hospital, Seattle. Her sister, Mrs. Lula DeLoach Wall, of Chicago, flew to Seattle and accompanied the remains to Winnfield.

Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Thelma McKenzie of Los Angeles; two brothers, Blackie DeLoach of Alexandria and Grisham DeLoach of Lake Charles; two sisters, Mrs. Lula DeLoach Wall of Chicago and Mrs. Blanche Hawk of Maywood, Ill.
