Brownwood (TX) - Albert Curry, 64, of Brownwood died at 10:25 p.m. in Brownwood Community Hospital after a long illness. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Davis-Morris Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. R.J. Elkins, pastor of the Avenue D Baptist church, will officiate. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.
Born Nov. 1, 1913, in Brown County, he married Emogene Couch in November, 1962, in Brownwood. He was the warehouse supervisor for the Crystal Ice Company in Brownwood. He was a lifelong resident of Brown County.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Darlene Short of Rockport; a step-daughter, Johnette Ward of Brownwood; his mother, Bessie Curry of Brownwood; two sisters, Muriel Perez and Imogene Wellborn, both of Brownwood; three brothers, John, Odis and Lester M., all of Brownwwod; and four granddaughters.
