Lulu May Tippin was born Jan. 23, 1893, at Missouri, the daughter of George R. and Ida May McKee Tippin. A 1933 graduate of Sterling College, she taught school for 47 years.
She was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church, the Business and Professional Women's Club, Women's Christian Temperance Union, the Mutual Improvement Club and the church 's Women's Missionary Society, all at Sterling; the Kansas Retired Teachers Association and the National Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include Dorothea Fountain and family, Sterling and Robert Edgar and family, Colby.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Reformed Presbyterian Church, Sterling, with the Rev. Robert McFarland, officiating. Burial will be in the Sterling Community Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the church or to Sterling Presbyterian Manor. Porter and Sillin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.
