Funeral services for Mrs. J.C. Killebrew were held Sunday afternoon at the Stickley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Fern A. Miller, pastor of the Baptist Church conducting the services.

Mrs. Killebrew passed away during the early morning hours Saturday, October 6, 1945. She was the widow of the late J.C. Killebrew, who preceded her in death by six years.

Mrs. Killebrew was born in Howard County in Missouri on February 15, 1866. She came to Texas when a small child and was married on September 14, 1882, to J.C. Killebrew. They came to the Panhandle of Texas in 1888 and moved to Canadian in 1907.

Mrs. Killebrew was longtime member of the Methodist church. She was the mother of thirteen children, nine of whom survive. All were present for the funeral service with the exception of Mrs. B.W. O'Fallin, of Houston, who was unable to attend because of illness. Those children present were Jim Killebrew, Canadian; Mrs. Virgil Harrison, Heavener, Oklahoma; Mrs. L.A. Reed, Pampa; Fred Killebrew, Arnett; Jack Killebrew, Pampa; Mrs. W.H. Downs, Wichita, Kansas; Mrs. V.A. Taylor, Conroe Texas; and Elvis Killebrew, Canadian.

Pallbearers were George Hill, Ben Hill, Paul Bryant and L.A. McAdams.
