He was born Nov. 13, 1910, in El Centro, Calif., and had lived in the Portland area since 1953.
He was general manager and salesman for Republic Steel.
In 1954, he married Fern Wallway.
He was a member of the Rose City Park Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife; daughters, Alois A. Kranzler of Grand Terrace, Calif., and Pamela S. Cartwright of Gladstone; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Interment: Skyline Memorial Gardens.
Remembrances: Mount Hood Kiwanis Camp in care of Stehn's Milwaukie Funeral Home.
