LEOMINSTER Irene Z. (Hocquard) Hauger, 94 years old, of Leominster, died Sunday, August 31, 2008, in HealthAlliance-Leominster Hospital.
Her husband of 53 years William L. Hauger died February 12, 1993.
Mrs. Hauger was born July 8, 1914, in Shirley, daughter of Purley C. and Charlotte (Martin) Hocquard and had lived in Leominster for many years. She graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1932 and from the former Stevens Business School in Fitchburg.
Irene worked as a secretary for several lawyers in the Fitchburg area, before working with her husband, who owned and operated the former Wachusett Finance Co. in Leominster, retiring in 1968. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Leominster.
HAUGER A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 10 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. The Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster is assisting the family with arrangements.
