Daniel Wilfred Sarya, 71, of 2545 Lakeshore, died Saturday in Port Huron Hospital after a short illness. He was born March 28, 1902. He married his wife, Lillian, in 1922. She died in 1971. He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Lexington. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. LaVerne Strand, Applegate; a brother, Arne Sarya, Traverse City; and three grandchildren. The remains will be in Pomeroy Funeral Home, Croswell, until 9 p.m. Monday and removed to Memorial Funeral Home, 20226 West Six Mile Road, Detroit, where services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. David Hollander, pastor of St. Matthew's Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Detroit.
