Funeral services for Mary B. Baker, 83, will be held on Saturday, January 1 at 2 p.m. from Buffington Funeral Home. The Rev. Walter Lentz will officiate, with interment in the Pilgrim Cemetery.
Mrs. Baker died in Memorial Hospital on Thursday, December 30 at 11:40 a.m.
She was born on April 10, 1899 in Gonzales County, and her parents were George W. and Willie O. Jones Hester. She was married to Herbert Baker, and he preceded her in death on September 23, 1976. The family home was on Route 3.
She is survived by a son, Emmett Baker, a daughter, Mrs. Louis (Bertha) Null; and a sister, Nora Snelling of Somerville; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three children, three sisters, and four brothers.
