Funeral Tuesday For Harvey Baker
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Memorial Heights Baptist Church for Harvey Baker, who died at the Yorktown hospital Monday 5 a.m.
The pastor, the Rev. Oscar Thompson Jr., will conduct the services with burial to follow in the Pilgrim cemetery.
Mr. Baker was born on August 29, 1903 in Gonzales county. He was the son of Hiram and Alice Webb Baker.
The body will be at the Memorial Heights church from 5:15 p.m. Monday until time for services.
Survivors include his wife, Lyddie Bell Stockton Baker; three children, Jessie J. of Cuero; Mrs. Barney Martin and Mrs. W.W. Bunjus, Jr., both of Yorktown; five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Also surviving are two brothers, Zilmon and Herbert Baker of Gonzales.
