"Harriet A. Yeomans was born February 12, 1826 in New York to William and Betsey Yeomans. She married Almiron Brown on May 22, 1849 in Huron County, Ohio and is found living with Almiron during the 1850 census on the 25th of July, 1850 in Huron County, Ohio. (Some researchers have mistakenly thought that Harriet was Harriet E. Hogan who married a William L. Yeoman before 1844. They had at least two children: Henry Yeoman 1844-1847, and Ashley Augustus Yeoman 1846-1911, before she is found living with her parents, Ashley and Bula/Beulah Hogan on Sept. 26, 1850 in New York with her son Ashley Augustus Yeomans/Youman.) These are two different women.

Harriet A. Yeomans is listed as the daughter of William Yeomans and Betsey Stevens in the BROWN GENEALOGY of Many of the Descendants of Thomas, John, and Eleazer Brown Sons of Thomas and Mary (Newhall) Brown of Lynn, Mass. 1628-1907, Cyrus Henry Brown; Boston, The Everett Press Company, 1907, p 348, 349.

Harriet A. Yeoman had at least 2 sisters, Mary A. Yeoman and Sarah Ann Yeoman. Sarah Ann Yeoman married Myron Gilbert Browne, one of Almiron's sons. Their mother Betsey born about 1782 in Connecticut appears to have married Jonathan Stephens/Stevens in Huron County, Ohio December 3, 1847. Betsey Stevens/Stephens is found living in Sherman, Huron, Ohio with her daughter and son-in-law, Mary A. and William Randall in 1850 and then in 1860 she is found living with her daughter and son-in-law Harriet A. and Almiron Brown in Middleton Township, Wood County, Ohio.

Harriet and Almiron Brown had two children both born in Perrysburg, Wood County, Ohio: Charles Miner Browne born April 19, 1851 and Mary Almira Brown September 25, 1855.

Harriet died October 25, 1898 in Perrysburg, Wood County, Ohio and is buried in Fort Meigs Cemetery there."
