Mrs. Stevens
Mrs. Bertie Logan Stevens, 88, 719 Valley Dr., Attalla, died yesterday in Attalla Nursing Home following an extended illness. Services will be tomorrow at 3 p m. at Union Hill Methodist Church in North Gadsden with the Rev. Bill Gtddens officiating. Burial will be in Whites Chapel Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons. Survivors: daughters, Mrs. Irene Nichols, Attalla; son, Henry Logan, Gadsden; sister, Mrs. Lee Sears, Glencoe; grandchildren, Mrs. Charles Simpson, Mrs. H. M. Freeman, Mrs. Ernest Knight, Mrs. Oswald Costner, Kenneth Wayne Logan; 10 great grandchildren; five, great great grandchildren. Mrs. Stevens was a native of Randolph County, had resided in Etowah county for most of her life, and was a member of the Union Hill Methodist Church. The body will remain at Morgan Funeral Chapel and lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends after 3 p.m. today. Morgan Funeral Chapel, Attalla, directing.
