Margaret Day was born in 1828 in Smith County, Tennessee, the daughter of John Douglas and Mary (McCauley) Day. She married Pinkey Nichols on the 28th of Feb. 1850 in Smith County. The later migrated to Lincoln County, Missouri with several members of the Nichols family, including her widowed mother-in-law,Mary Sims Nichols.In the mid 1870s, Pinkey and Margaret migrated farther west to Maries County, Missouri. There they became charter members of the Seaton Church. Margaret was my 3rd great-grandmother.
