The daughter of James E. and Olive Say Calhoun, she was bore May 22,1914,in Armstrong County. Mrs. Ray had formerly resided on South 13th Street and had been at her present address since 1984. She was a member of Graystone Presbyterian Church, Indiana, where she belonged to the Queen Esther Class and the Women's Association. Mrs. Ray was also a member of UCT Council 598 and had been an active volunteer with the Indiana Hospital Auxiliary. She had been employed as a bookkeeper for the National Mine Service for some 18 years before retiring in 1978.
