Mrs. Ford
Services for Irene Perry Ford, 56, of Angleton, Texas, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 5, at the First Baptist Church of Angleton. Burial followed in the Angleton Cemetery.
The Rev. Gene Russell and Chaplain Winston Robertson officiated. She died Friday, April 3.
Mrs. Ford was born June 17, 1924, in Hamilton County, daughter of the late George M. and Lillie Carl Dunn Perry. She had lived the past 37 years in Angleton after leaving Hamilton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and Friendship Sunday School Class of Angleton.
She is survived by her husband, J. D. Ford, Jr. of Angleton; two sons, Tommy Joe Ford of Angleton and Johnny Mac Ford of Lodi, Calif; one daughter, Peggy Sue Ford LeCompte of Danbury; four brothers Jeff Perry of Hamilton, Vergel G. Perry of Lake Jackson, Alven C. Perry of Hamilton; L. C. Perry of Grand Prairie; two sisters, Mrs. Cleo Osterman of Lake Jackson, and Katherine Arnold of Kingsland; and three grandsons.
Pallbearers were S. R. Neville, Olan Wafer, Jack Greener, W. P. Sheffield, Ray Harris, and A. C. Welden. Honorary pallbearers were the members of the Reaper Men's Sunday School Class of the First Baptist Church of Angleton.
Arrangements were by Palms Funeral Home of Angleton.
