DEATH TAKES MORGAN WOMAN

Mrs. Amelia Carter Heiner, 58, of Stoddard, died Sunday at ten-forty five in a Salt Lake City hospital, due to heart ailment following an operation.

Mrs. Heiner was born June 16, 1878, in Porterville, a daughter of Samuel and Sarah Davis Carter. She served in the presidency of the Morgan Stake L.D.S. Relief Society until a short time before her death and was an active member of the church throughout her life.

She is survived by the following sons and daughters; _____ and Preston Heiner, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Vadna Hansen, Tooele; Mrs. Eva Jensen, Morgan; Lloyd, Conrad and Chester Heiner, all of Morgan; Mrs. Hilda Goldman, Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. Marie Taylor, Ogden; three brothers, George Carter, Morgan; Joseph Carter, Lyman, Wyo.; Alfred Carter, Porterville; one sister, Mrs. Alice Spacman, Morgan and 16 grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 1 o'clock in the Morgan Stake Tabernacle with Bishop Horace Heiner of the North Morgan Ward officiating. Prelude and postlude were played by Mrs. G. S. Heiner; Duet, "Come Unto me and Rest." J.J. Johnson and Edith Johnson; Invocation by William Giles; Solo, "Lay My Head Beneath A. Rose," Mrs. Myrtle Richards; Speakers; C.C.Geary and Joseph Spendlove; Solo, "Goin' Home," Mrs. Bertha Porter; Speaker, Reed Brough; Duet, "Teach Me to Pray" J.J. Johnson and Edith Johnson; Speaker, G. S. Heiner; Quartet, "Sister Thou Art Mild and Lovely," Mrs. Amy Heiner, Mrs. Bertha Porter, Mr. James Palmer, Mr. J. J. Johnson; Remarks by Bishop Horace Heiner; Benediction Bishop E. J. Soloman.

Interment took place in the No. Morgan Cemetery, with Daniel Carter dedication the grave.

Pallbearers were young men of the North Morgan Ward. The flowers were taken care of by the officers of the North Morgan ward Primary. They were assisted by the class members of which Mrs. Heiner has been the teacher.

Accompainist were Miss MIldred Johnson, Mrs. R. B. Sanford, and Mrs. G. S. Heiner.
