HANNIBAL ­ Ruth L. Cornelius, 83, of Hannibal, died at 12:10 p.m. Aug. 26, 1999, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cornelius will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Dave Dexheimer will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.

Mrs. Cornelius was born Sept. 9, 1915, in Hannibal to Charles E. and Edna F. Hagan Ledbetter.

She was married to George B. Cornelius on Sept. 6, 1936, in Hannibal. He preceded her in death Sept. 13, 1980.
Survivors include one son of Hamilton, Ill.; three sisters; two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles E. Ledbetter.

Mrs. Cornelius worked at Woolworth and American Trust Company. She retired from the Hannibal Public School System as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a member of Fidelis Sunday School Class.
Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church.
