Silas was one of seven brothers. He was the only one of the 5 older boys who didn't get drafted, he joined the Army April 1943 and was killed August 4, 1944 in Normandie in Marigny France his body was returned in 1948 and he was buried Sept 11, 1948. He left behind Wife Ruby Pearl and Daughter Areta Lou Taylor. Mother Emma Nunn, Brothers William Taylor, Thomas Taylor, Richard Taylor, Robert Taylor, James Nunn & Joseph Nunn.
