Odie Cecil Booth was the son of Chapell Benjamin and Indiana Valencha O Gailey Booth.

On October 13, 1912, Odie Booth married Maggie Thackston in Cherokee County, GA (Cherokee County Marriage Book H., p. 106). They had eleven children: Ruby Irene, Emmarene, Waynell or Wynell, Virginia, Joel Bannister, Cecil C., Thomas Harold, Charles Q., John W., Lena Florene, and Nora Booth.

Funeral services for Odie Cecil Booth, 76, of 439 Glover Street in Marietta who died Tuesday will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the Northwest Piney Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Guy Grant and the Rev. Vernis Worley and the Rev. Ray Brown will officiate and burial will be it the Noonday Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers should meet at the residence, 103 Sylvan Drive in Marietta where the body will be at 9:30 a.m.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Ruby Barnes and Mrs. Emmarene Neese, all of Marietta, Miss Waynell Booth of Milledgeville, Mrs. Virginia Luttrall of Doraville; four sons, J.B. Booth of Kennesaw, Cecil C., Harold and Charles Booth, all of Marietta; 33 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Norman Medford Funeral Home in Marietta is in charge of arrangements.
