DAVID HECKMAN SERVICES SET
David Alan Heckman, 34, of Chesterton died as a result of an illness on Thursday, Feb. 20, 1997 at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral service, to be led by Rev. Terry Rhine, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb.22, at the Edmonds and Evans Funeral Home,517 Broadway in Chesterton.
Interment will follow at the Chesterton Cemetery. Visitation is set from 2-9 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
The deceased was born on May 28, 1962 in Valparaiso to Chester and Laura Judith (Charlson) Heckman, Both of whom survive in Michigan City.
On Oct. 14, 1989 in Hobart he married Jodi A. Lough, who survives in Chesterton.
Heckman was a lifelong resident of Northwest Indiana and was employed as a sheet metal worker at Circle R Mechanical in Portage. He was also an avid softball player.
In addition to his wife and his parents, Heckman is survived by two daughters, Tiffany and Tarra Heckman of Chesterton; brother, Tom (Chris) Heckman of LaPorte; niece and nephew, Eric and Jenna Heckman of LaPorte; grandparents, Howard Charlson of LaPorte and Mary Singer of Lake Station; and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Lavenia Charlson in 1982 and Irvin Heckman in 1965.
