F. Wayne Blystone, 83, of Shelocta RD 1, died Wednesday, March 6, 1996 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning.
He was born Aug. 26, 1912 in South Bend Township to Louis Elmer and Theresa Belle (Smith) Blystone.
Mr. Blystone was a truck driver for PennDOT in Kittanning.
A veteran of World War II having served in the United States Navy, he was a member of the Amercian Legion, Elderton.
Mr. Blystone enjoyed gardening.
He was a member of the Mt. Union Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife Helen M. (Young) Blystone to whom he was married for 55 years; five sons, Ronald E. Blystone of Ford Cliff, Gary E. Blystone of Kittanning, Leroy D. Blystone, Sr. of Creekside, Kenneth V. Blystone and Alan D. Blystone both of Shelocta; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Beverly) Bona of Kittanning and Mrs. Frank (Linda) Orde of Shelocta; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren; 10 step great-grandchildren; and a sister Mrs. Marie Elioo of Clermont, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Tammy Blystone; a brother, D. Veryl Blystone; and a sister, Imogene Evans.
BLYSTONE - Memorial services for F. Wayne Blystone, 83, of Shelocta RD 1, who died Wednesday, March 6, 1996, will be held at the Mt. Union Lutheran Church on Friday, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Alex Walbrodt of Mt. Union Lutheran Church officiating. There will be no public visistation. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. the family suggests memorial contributions may be given to the Amercian Cancer Society, Armstrong Unit, One Nolte Drive, Kittanning, PA 16201. Arrangements by Clark Chapel.
