Funeral service for Robert Lee Clinton, 71, of Lawton will be at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, May 7, 2007 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Myers, pastor, Restoration Church of God, Cache, Oklahoma officiating.

Mr. Clinton died on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 in Geronimo. Burial will be at Marlow Cemetery, Marlow, Oklahoma. There will be a special visitation for family and friends on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lee was born on February 22, 1936 in Faxon, Oklahoma to Robert E. Lee and Lula May Stilly Clinton. He grew up in Lawton and began to work for Arkla gas Company in 1957 as a backhoe driver. He retired in 1992 as the crew chief. He was a member of the Polo Club, Saddle Club, OGBA Club, and the Comanche County Combined.

He married Barbara Jean Caraway and they had three children. He later married Gloria Jean Whittington Gordon on August 11, 1977.

He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Debbie and Bill Hoffmann, of Lawton; two sons and daughters in law, Randy and Susan Clinton, East of Lawton and Richie J. and Shelly Gordon, of Cache; a sister, Martha Elizabeth Strange, of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren, Billy Hoffmann and his wife, Sharleen Hoffman, of Lawton, T.J. Hoffmann, of Lawton, Melinda Morris and her husband, Mike, of Lawton, Stephanie Dennis and her husband, Bobby, of Killeen, Texas, Clint Gordon, of Cache, Ok, Joseph Bajza and his wife, Melissa, of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Randy Bajza, of Lawton; 14 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, Jimmy and Kathy Strange, Mike and Carrie Strange, Perry and Sandy Strange, and Liz and Les Bynum.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Candy Sue Clinton, his brother, J.D. Clinton, Brother in law, Jim Strange and mother and father in law, Pauline and Frank Rambousek.
