James Fred Aldrich, 58, died Monday at Bulloch Memorial Hospital in Statesboro after a long illness.
The lifelong resident of Bulloch County was employed by Howard Lumber Co. as mill foreman. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and church training director five years, and he was a veteran of military service.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Juanita Ansley Aldrich of Brooklet; two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Jane Smith of Hinesville and Mrs. Betty Joyce Stringer of Statesboro; two sisters, Mrs. Alford Payne of Montrose and Mrs. Gordon Wilson of Brooklet; a brother, Joe Aldrich of Brooklet; a half-sister, Mrs. Nora Glisson of South Carolina; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Trinity Baptist Church, with burial in Harville Baptist Church Cemetery.
Barnes-Hodges Funeral Home of Statesboro is in charge.
